This firm was started by Pauline Amond in 1978, specializing in land use consultation, including preparation and representation of land use entitlements and trouble-shooting for clients who are primarily engaged in property development. She held positions as a principal in three major civil engineering and land development firms in the city of Los Angeles prior to starting this firm. The firm has handled major development projects, including three regional shopping centers, and numerous other shopping centers; several thousand residential units- both single family and condominiums; hospitals; churches/synagogues; schools; industrial projects; the original 33 cellular telephone sites; restaurants; markets; hotels; banks; senior housing projects, etc. Pauline Amond served on the task force streamlining committee, formed by Mayor Richard Riordan and Councilman Hal Bernson, Chairman of the Planning and Land Use Management Committee of the City Council.

In 1982 Robert Amond joined the firm and started in the research of all new jobs. He was soon filing and handling all new cases from A to Z. He was learning all the facets of land planning in the City of Los Angeles and other outlining communities from Camarillo to Mission Viejo. After Pauline retired, Robert became the sole operator of Pauline Amond & Associates, meeting all new clients, ascertaining the viability of all new jobs, executing all new contracts, writing up all applications, findings, doing community outreach, council office outreach, and doing all representation for neighborhood councils, zoning administrators, hearing examiners, and city council.
